Apiculture, or beekeeping, is an integral part of our operations. We maintain colonies of honeybees for honey production, pollination services, and the cultivation of other hive products such as beeswax and royal jelly. Our apiaries are strategically located to maximize pollination efficiency and ensure the health and vitality of our bee populations. We adhere to organic principles, avoiding the use of synthetic pesticides and antibiotics, to promote the well-being of our bees and the purity of our products. Notes:
• Hive management practices.
Today, there are many threats to honey bee health — including parasites, pests, disease, pesticides, and inadequate nutrition. At Cycris we approach this challenge by closely monitoring bee health and taking proactive steps to protect them through regular hive inspections, temperature control and timely harvesting
• Importance of pollination services.
Bees help different plants of the same species to exchange their pollen, which helps to keep their lineage strong and diverse. Pollen and nectar collected by bees helps to enrich the soil, providing the right balance of nutrients to help plants flourish. In this way, we contribute to enabling the natural ecology of these biomes
• Sustainable honey production techniques.
We plan to Plant local wildflowers to provide a diverse food source for bees. While avoiding the use of pesticides and herbicides that can harm bees and their natural habitats. We use non-toxic hive treatments to control pests and diseases and monitor hives regularly to catch any issues early.
• Hive product processing and marketing
. In processing and marketing bee hive products, we use several important steps to ensure quality, safety, and consumer satisfaction. Some of these methods involve traditional air drying and microwave assisted drying. Proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) are crucial to maintain product quality. We are diligent in extraction and isolation, identification and quality control assessment methods.
